No Responsibilities
At the end of May I left my job at Milwaukee Brewing Company and graduated from MSOE. So…. to say I have some free time is, well uhm, true.
Having this moment in life free feels special. For the last 4 years I have been working my butt off. Learning how to do this and that, trying new things, just trying to gain some experience in anything I could. Honestly, I think I did it well. Hindsight is 20/20 but looking back I don’t regret my decisions, sure there are some I would tweak, but overall, I’m proud of where I have ended up. The thing I didn’t have time for before was reflecting on what the heck was going on or giving myself enough time.
Now I have that chance, which is why I can launch this website and why my LinkedIn received its first updates in a couple years. It’s the reason I have a new headshot, the first in literally years (although not much has changed considering I’m a white male, with short hair, and a beard).
I have been able to accomplish all of that in just a short couple of days, some I’m excited to see what the entire month of June can do for me. Soon my graduation party is approaching and once that has past I plan on road tripping across the Midwest to visit Colorado and backpack for a couple of days. Off the grid no electronics, not my phone nor camera (trust me I will be bringing a film camera though) and probably a bunch of books. I’m pretty sure an opportunity like this won’t happen again so I’m excited to use this time the best as I can.
